Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

Are you finishing the song? You are welcome! (smile)

I just got to work and sat down at my desk, and was thinking how tired my body is. Though good things are happening all around me, some days I want to crumple in a heap. Can you relate?

I have to face it, there are days I wake up and everything is sunshine and roses. I feel good...well rested, I've been able to get a lot accomplished, the house is fairly clean...at least it smells that way, and life seems somewhat under control.

Then there are moments when I feel as if I have lost my ever loving mind. The house is a disaster, my hair won't cooperate, I've put on another pound or two, I don't know if I'm even saved, and I'm being pulled in twenty different directions. Can you relate?

Those are the days I have to simply recite these words to myself..."Jesus loves me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so."

If I believe that phrase...if I really and truly believe the God of the universe loves me and knows me and sees me and hears me, then life is not so bad, right?

Oh, it may be bad, but my hope is restored. I am reminded no matter what I have to face, He is right there beside me. He's got this and He's got me, and that restores me just a bit.

Today, I don't know what you are walking through. Perhaps you are a new momma who cannot get any sleep due to a waking baby. Or maybe you're a working mom with several teenagers who are continuously needing to go somewhere. Or like me...a middle-aged (ouch) grandma who can now get a senior discount (sigh). Well, we all have our challenges, but never forget that in the midst of it all, God is still good.

Keep plugging, sister. You are dearly loved.

Kristi
